Obioma Chukwuike

Obioma Chukwuike is an Environmental Specialist, Researcher and LGBTI activist. She has interest in environmental protection, green energy, soil and forest conservation, climate change and sustainable development. Obioma is a member of the Nigeria Environmental Society. She is a lesbian and Intersex person. The passion for marginalized LBTIQ women in Nigeria drove her passion for LGBTI activism and is currently the project manager at Afro Rainbow Austria (Nigeria Outreach) an LGBTI Organization in South Eastern Nigeria that creates visibility and temporal accommodation for LBTIQ persons.
She graduated from Enugu State University of Science and Technology, with bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Meteorology in 2013. She recently got a Master’s of Science in Environmental Technology from Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria. Obioma’s hobbies are playing football and reading.
