Franco Stevens
In 1991, Franco Stevens founded Curve (né DENEUVE), the most successful lesbian magazine ever published. For the past 30 years, the magazine has provided a safe space for lesbians by raising visibility, forging connections and fighting accelerating threats to our community.
Beyond her role as a pioneer in queer media, Franco has served on the board of directors for GLAAD, was a founding board member of the San Francisco LGBTQ Center, worked extensively to educate media professionals on the lesbian community and promote lesbian visibility. Franco is the subject of the documentary, AHEAD OF THE CURVE and Co-founder of The Curve Foundation.
