Ulrike Janz

Ulrike Janz, lesbian feminist activist.   Working class-born 1956, co-edited a german „radical feminist lesbian magazin“ called IHRSINN for 15 years until 2004, and has been part of several lesbian-feminist groups & networks (including Lesbenring, LAG Lesben NRW, Lesbians & Buddhism). Her main activist issues have been: Violence against women, reproductive & genetic engineering, lesbians in german facism, violence in lesbian relationships, lesbians and poverty, lesbians in older age. Spiritually she turns to meditation and lesbian & buddhism network. In 2006 she moved her home base to one of the so-called „modern beguinages“ (in Dortmund) – women housing projects with lesbians.
