Anastasia Divinskaya

Ms. Divinskaya assumed her duties as a head of UN Women office in Ukraine in July 2015. Anastasia has 18 years of experience on gender equality, women’s empowerment, human rights and the UN coordination working with the UN the international and national levels. Prior to Ukraine she served as UN Women Deputy Country Representative in Timor-Leste. From 2010 to 2013 Anastasia worked in UN Women Moldova leading the gender-responsive local governance and decentralization programme, focusing on the rights of minorities. Between 2007 and 2010 she was in charge of the UNIFEM/UN Women country programme in Kyrgyzstan covering women leadership and participation, financing for gender equality and women’s economic empowerment areas, as well as was involved in UN coordination work. Prior to joining UNIFEM/UN Women Anastasia worked in UNFPA and UNDP in Kyrgyzstan.
